Our mission: Norma's Academy of Dance is dedicated to cultivating artistic excellence and fostering personal growth through dance education. Honoring the vision of founder Norma B. Mitchell, we empower diverse young artists to develop confidence, creativity, and character while advancing opportunities for students of color. Through inclusive, technique-based training, our students learn more than dance – they discover the discipline, teamwork, and perseverance essential for lifelong success.
Our teachers at Norma’s Academy of Dance are an enthusiastic, collaborative team dedicated to providing exceptional dance education and fostering a love for dance among our students. Joining us means more than being an instructor–you become an integral part of our Dance Family, where the student always comes first. It is about more than just dance; we seek applicants who are committed to excellence. Let’s collaborate to provide exceptional training to our dance community and forge ‘life lessons’ that transform lives!

At NAOD, we value a strong work ethic and the ability to be a team player. Becoming a member of our dance family means committing to being an integral part of the team and fostering a sense of community both in the classroom and at studio events.
